The Kiwanis Club of Capital City in BOISE, IDAHO was chartered in 1950. We are a vibrant organization due to our
large and diverse membership, and our commitment to providing relevant, important service to our community. We have
established a long tradition of service to our community, and our members can be proud of projects such as our
newspaper and aluminum recycling program, our many high school, junior high, and elementary school Sponsored Youth
Clubs, the Boise River Green Belt, the Kelton Ramp Oregon Trail Interpretive Site, Robie Creek Park, the Julia
Davis Park picnic shelter, as well as sponsoring four other Kiwanis Clubs in the area.
"We Build!"
Our motto is "We Build", and we certainly do. But we do more than hammer and nail. Membership in the Capital City
Kiwanis club helps to build the social and moral fabric of Boise.
We provide a means for our members to meet, to socialize, and to participate in the life of our community.

President's Message
Hello fellow Capital City Kiwanians! As we begin my term as President of this
fine club, I am honored, nervous and excited about my new position. I
learned a few things about leading this club from my term on the board
and as a long-time member: Rule 1: If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
Rule 2: Have Fun.
As I take over the Presidency from Angie this year,
the club is in great shape and very busy. I intend to keep it that way.
One of my goals this year is to grow the club from within...we need the
support of our families to maintain a strong working and successful
club. I encourage you to bring your family members to our meetings and
projects.
Some of our members have renewed their committee chair
responsibilities for the upcoming year, providing a smooth transition
and experience for the upcoming year.
I welcome your ideas and comments
this year, and thank you all in advance for your volunteer hours and
commitment to your community. I look forward to keeping the rudder
pointed in the right direction and having a great time.
